Ryan Corces, Ph.D.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, GLADSTONE INSTITUTES & UCSF

Dr. Corces is an assistant investigator at Gladstone Institutes and assistant professor of neurology at UC San Francisco. His research bridges genetics, epigenetics, and computational biology to uncover how genetic and environmental factors influence neurodegenerative disease risk and resilience. Ryan is renowned for generating comprehensive epigenomic atlases of human brain regions and blood cells, using advanced single-cell and multi-omic technologies to map gene regulation in both healthy and diseased tissue. His work has identified novel regulatory elements and cell types relevant to diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s and has applied machine learning to predict risk-associated sequence variations.
